Hairy Dawg

As the official costumed mascot for the University of Georgia, Hairy Dawg is one of the most recognizable college mascots in the country. He made his first appearance during the 1981 Sugar Bowl where Georgia defeated Notre Dame to win the 1980 National Championship. Since then, Hairy Dawg has been a constant staple at various UGA sporting events.

Spike

Spike was introduced in 1998. Our inflatable friend was originally created to serve as a mascot appearing at UGA volleyball games. You can also now find Spike at men’s and women’s basketball games and gymnastic meets.
